In March 2014, an anti-terrorist operation was launched in Eastern Ukraine, which subsequently went into full-scale war. As in June 1941, border guards were the first to meet the enemy. During the hostilities, many border guards were killed. In extremely difficult circumstances, they honorably demonstrated an example of true heroism not sparing themselves.

The film reveals the fate of some characters who became vivid illustrators of this war. Along with documentary footage, some events are recreated in form of artistic reconstructions.
